It was one of those nights when you wish you’d gotten off the couch and just gone out like your friend begged you to. Some lucky fans at an intimate gig on Tuesday night (Jan. 16) got to see Muse singer Matt Bellamy and drummer Dominick Howard jam out on the Beatles’ “Helter Skelter” with none other than Sir Paul McCartney. It was the latest gig by the occasional supergroup Dr. Pepper’s Jaded Hearts Club Band, which also includes vocalist Miles Kane of The Last Shadow Puppets.
McCartney brought some extra juice to the cover of the song from the Fab Four’s 1968 White Album, with Bellamy writing on Instagram, “Just did Macca with Macca #walkinglegend.”
Check out another Jaded Hearts Club Band cover from December.
