Showtime is bringing the full Twin Peaks experience to this year’s SXSW festival (March 16-17), with a two night event that will feature sets from Real Estate, Neko Case and M. Ward. The celebration of David Lynch’s return to TV weirdness will unfold at the Showtime House (also known as Clive Bar), where organizers promise that badge holders will be “transported into an immersive TWIN PEAKS experience with themed cocktails, premium merchandise and a photo booth at the TWIN PEAKS lodge.”
Right next door, fans will be able to stop by the Double R Diner pop-up shop, which will feature a variety of Austin treats, including free High Brew Coffee and, of course, Tiny Pies cherry pie and Twin Peaks-inspired Voodoo Doughnuts. The limited series will return on May 21 with a two-part Showtime premiere of the 18-part limited series that is slated to feature an impressive list of participating actors and musicians including: David Duchovny, Laura Dern, Michael Cera, Ashley Judd, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Amanda Seyfried, Naomi Watts and director Lynch, as well as Jim Belushi, Sky Ferreira, Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor, wife Mariqueen Maandig Reznor and band mate Robin Finck, Eddie Vedder, Tim Roth, Tom Sizemore and Sharon Van Etten.
The lineup for the Twin Peaks experience:
March 16: Real Estate, Agnes Obel, Julie Byrne, Alex Cameron, Aldous Harding, L.A. Salami, Alexandra Savior
