Mitski has added a second “final” show at Central Park’s Summerstage in New York, set to take place on Sept. 8 with Lucy Dacus as support once again.
The news comes after the singer-songwriter announced her last show “indefinitely,” which will take place at the same venue on Sept. 7. The decision to add a second show was made after the first show sold out, according to Mitski on Twitter: “So many people couldn’t get tickets to our final show of this cycle, so I’ve agreed to add one more show the day after, on 9/8. And Lucy’s agreed too! love you.”
Tickets to the second show are on sale now.
After announcing the initial “final” show, fans freaked out, thinking the “Nobody” singer was taking a break from music forever.
“Y’all, I’m not quitting music!” she responded. “Me? Quit music?? I’ve been on non-stop tour for over 5years, I haven’t had a place to live during this time, & I sense that if I don’t step away soon, my self-worth/identity will start depending too much on staying in the game, in the constant churn.”
