Metallica is for the children. The legendary metal icons will drop the illustrated book The ABCs of Metallica on Nov. 26, which chronicles the group’s history in an alphabetical fashion, highlighting their journey “from Garage Days to Master of Puppets to fun facts,” according to a statement.
The book, co-authored by former music-exec-turned-author Howie Abrams (The Merciless Book of Metal Lists, Hip-Hop Alphabet), features illustrations by legendary graffiti artist and Lordz of Brooklyn MC Michael “Kaves” McLeer, who took part in the band’s Obey Your Master exhibit in 2012.
A portion of the proceeds from sales will benefit the band’s All Within My Hands Foundation, which works to fight hunger and support workforce education.
You can pre-order the book for $18.99 here.
