
Their team might be scraping the bottom of the NL West, but that didn’t stop the members of Metallica from showing off their hometown pride on Monday night (Aug. 7), but storming the field and the clubhouse for the fifth-annual Metallica Night.
Guitarists James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett got kitted out in full Giants gear as they rocked the infield for a plugged in take on the “Star Spangled Banner,” complete with Hetfield’s Giants-logo guitar.

The Metallica vibes were spread out all over the stadium during the game, including some signed auction items to help out the Giants Community Fund. Plus, Lars got in a bit of pitching practice and the team visited the dugout to chill with some players.
