Leave it to Noel Gallagher to celebrate half a century on Earth in his signature cheeky fashion. The former mastermind of Oasis hosted a blow-out 50th birthday bash over the weekend — he officially turned 50 on Monday (May 29) — and according to the NME the Narcos-themed party had an all-star guest list.
Popping up in party pics were Madonna, Bono, Damon Albarn, fashion designer Stella McCartney and actors Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander. Oh, and what looked like a killer mariachi band.

You know who wasn’t there, though? Noel’s little brother, former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, from whom he is famously estranged. Though Liam lashed out at big bro for allegedly not inviting him (or their mother) a few weeks ago, he seemed to have a change of heart on Monday, when he tweeted out a nice birthday wish. “Happy 50th rkid stay young,” he wrote in reference to the 1997 Oasis track.

The brothers will have plenty to talk about soon, as just after Liam announced the upcoming release of his solo debut, Noel revealed that he’s prepping the follow-up to his 2015 album with side band Flying Birds.
