The week of May 25 may be a short one thanks to Memorial Day weekend, but that doesn’t mean there’s a shortage of livestreaming concerts and events this week. While various parts of the country are beginning to open up again just in time for the holiday weekend, artists are still staying busy providing entertainment for those sheltering in place during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Among them for the week of May 25-31 are the Dropkick Murphys and The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen, who will be doing a socially distant performance, with the band at an empty Fenway Park, while the rocker joins in from a remote location on Thursday (May 29). Other shows include a benefit set featuring Jason Mraz and Goo Goo Dolls, among others,; Adam Lambert, Jordin Sparks and others banding together for an event focusing on teen mental wellness; and many more.

May 26: The seventh annual Gretsch Presents Georgia On My Mind concert benefitting the Georgia Music Foundation will air at 8 p.m., hosted by the Indigo Girls’ Amy Ray and singer/songwriter Brett Cobb. Among the artists performing are Amy Grant, Chuck LEavell, Katie Pruitt, John Berry, The War & Treaty, Jontavious Willis, Tony Arata, Kalen & Aslyn, Adam Wright, Channing Wilson, John Driskell Hopkins, Caroline Aiken, Rutha Harris, Kim Michael Polote and Dark Water. Phish’s weekly streamed concert is set to benefit the Afya Foundation, which works to procure medical supplies for underserved health systems around the world. This week’s show is the band’s December 2018 performance at Madison Square Garden; it kicks off at 8:30 p.m. EST here. In the nine weeks since launching their livestream, the band has raised more than $265,000 for charity.
A Q&A featuring Terrence Blanchard discussing the documentary film Up From the Streets: New Orleans: The City of Music will begin at 9:00 p.m. EST on Eventive. Michael Murphy, the film’s producer, and Ben Jaffe, creative director of Preservation Hall, will also be on hand to answer questions.
May 27: Adam Lambert, Jordin Sparks, Kelly Osbourne, Laurie Hernandez, Carly Pearce and more are set to participate in Stronger Than You Think, a three-day livestream event which will address teen mental wellness. It kicks off each day at 5:00 p.m. EST, ending at 10:00 p.m. EST, and will be available on YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitch.
SESSIONS’ fourth episode featuring Randy Rainbow, Benny Benassi, Bryce Vine and more begins at 4:00 p.m. EST exclusively on Twitch. This week’s show benefits MusiCare’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.
May 28: Sting, Barbra Streisand, Carlos Santana, Dave Matthews and more are banding together for the Artists United for Amazonia benefit livestream. The event, which begins at 8 p.m. EST, will benefit the Amazon Emergency Fund, which is supporting indigenous and forest communities as well as organizations impacted by COVID-19 in the Amazon Rainforest. The two-hour event can be streamed via Facebook and at ArtistsForAmazonia.org.
Scott Stapp is performing a livestream concert to encourage sponsorships of ChildFund International, which is working to fight hunger and economic instability during the global coronavirus pandemic. “ChildFund gives kids a fighting chance to overcome the realities they were born into,” Stapp said in a statement. “They play a crucial role in all aspects of their lives — housing, nutrition, health, education — from infancy to young adulthood and they integrate job training as these kids grow.” The event kicks off at 8:30 p.m. EST, and can be streamed via Stapp and Creed’s social media channels.
The Indigo Girls are hosting a live chat with their favorite author, Glennon Doyle, and soccer star Abby Wambach. “Getting to speak with them and see them in an informal setting is going to be fun, enlightening and an excellent way to spend our quarantine time communing with others from different walks of life,” Emily Saliers said in a statement. The discussion begins at 7 p.m. EST on the Indigo Girls’ Facebook page.
Questlove will host a virtual dinner party called “Questlove’s Potluck” for his famous friends on Food Network. Patti LaBelle, Olivia Wilde, Kenan Thompson and more will be cooking and making some of their favorite dishes and drinks from their home kitchens. The virtual dinner will benefit America’s Food Fund. It airs at 10 p.m. ET on Food Network.
Finneas, Phoebe Bridgers, Claud, Alex Lahey, Beach Bunny, and Faye Webster will perform during VICE’s “Noisey Night In” virtual concert at 8:00 p.m. EST, in support of the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. Tune in on the Noisey YouTube and Vice Facebook pages.
Aly & AJ are hosting a 12-hour livestream event for charity. The synth-pop duo will be taking calls and chatting with fans through the night, do a virtual drag show, offer up some comedy, and more. Each hour of the stream, which begins at 10:00 p.m. EST, will highlight a different charity. Watch on their YouTube channel, Facebook and Twitch.
JP Saxe will be going live on Instagram weekly at 5:00 p.m. EST. Fans can expect performances, special surprise musical guests and much more.
May 29: The Rubens, Lime Cordiale and Something For Kate are confirmed for Episode Five of “The State of Music,” the six-part virtual concert curated, filmed and recorded by Mushroom in partnership with the Victorian government’s Victoria Together initiative. Also performing are Abby Dobson, D’arcy Spiller, Fergus James, Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows with Jade Macrae, Mansionair, Mitch King, Nic Cester & The Milano Elettrica, Odette and more. The show kicks off 7.30 p.m. AEST (5.30 a.m. ET) at YouTube, Facebook and together.vic.gov.au.
The Dropkick Murphys are performing from an empty Fenway Park, with pal Bruce Springsteen joining them remotely. KnotFest had been set to kick off on this date, but was canceled due to the pandemic. Instead, Slipknot is now hosting a streaming roadshow event featuring exclusive concert streams and interviews with the band, Underoath and Code Orange. The streamed shows will be Slipknot’s 2019 headlining set at Graspop Metal Meeting, Underoath’s 2016 set from Las Vegas’ Brooklyn Bowl, and Code Orange’s “Last Ones Left: In the Fear of the End” set that aired on Twitch in March. The stream begins at 6 p.m. ET at KnotFest.com.
Carlos Santana and Cindy Blackman Santana will release their version of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s “Imagine” as part of SongAid’s playlist to raise money for COVID-19 relief efforts. Other artists participating include Tom Morello, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, The Silkroad Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma, and more. The streaming proceeds will benefit WhyHunger’s Rapid Response Fund, which is providing emergency support for those impacted by food insecurity during the pandemic.
Icona Pop, Amason, El Perro Del Mar, Pelle Almqvist from The Hives, Pontus Winnberg from Miike Snow, Astropol (Bebban from Shout Out Louds, Bjorn from Peter Bjorn and John and Smash), Les Big Byrd and more will perform for the second 36h INGRID mini-festival. May 30: Led Zeppelin’s concert film Celebration Day, which chronicles the band’s December 2007 show at London’s O2 Arena in honor of Atlantic Records founder and friend Ahmet Ertegun, premieres at 3:00 p.m. EST on YouTube, and will be available for three days. The concert was the band’s first in 27 years, with more than 20 million fans applying for tickets in the lottery.
The Black Crowes and The Trews are kicking off Budweiser and Live Nation Canada’s new weekly at-home series Budweiser Stage at Home with a one-hour show. The series, which will go four weeks, kicks off at 8 p.m. and can be streamed globally on Live Nation’s new virtual music site, Live From Home.
David Guetta will do a livestream performance in New York benefiting the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City, Feeding America, the World Health Organization, and Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris – Hôpitaux de France. It will begin after the 7:00 p.m. EST clap front the city’s front-line workers, and can be streamed via his Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram and VK channels.
The Avett Brothers, Brandi Carlile, The Lumineers, Dave Matthews and many more will be performing for the Banding Together: A Concert for the Colorado Music Relief Fund.
