Jade Puget, the guitarist for rock band AFI — who played the Carnivores Tour with Bennington in 2014 — writes, “When Linkin Park took us out on tour, they treated us like brothers and whenever I ran into Chester he was always kind and incredibly down-to-earth. It’s extremely sad to lose such a talented, gracious person.”
Aaron Pauley from Of Mice and Men shares similar sentiments. “Chester was a great guy,” Pauley says. “Every time our paths crossed, no matter where in the world we’d be, seeing him would always reinvigorate me, because he was consistently radiating positivity and raw energy. On top of being a great guy, he was an amazing vocalist—easily one of the best to ever do it. To say he’ll be missed is an understatement. I’m devastated.”
