Back in July, Laura Jane Grace announced that she would be treating fans to a new collection of songs under the name Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers, a project with Marc Jacob Hudson and her fellow Against Me! bandmate Atom Willard. After sharing a handful of tracks from the forthcoming record, a new cut from Bought to Rot is out today (Oct. 26) called “Reality Bites.”
Bought to Rot promises to be the “most musically diverse collection of songs Grace has written to date,” according to a press release, and is “redolent in sex, drugs, and rock ’n’ roll,” which is evident in “Reality Bites.” Written in collaboration with A Giant Dog and Sweet Spirit’s Sabrina Ellis, it’s is a biting, roaring punk rock taste of what’s to come.
Bought to Rot is set for release on Nov. 9, and Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers will be playing a handful of live shows in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan to coincide. You can see the full list of dates, and listen to “Reality Bites,” below.
