A man accused of sexually assaulting a woman during a recent Korn show at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, has been charged and released in the incident. According to a post from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office on Monday (Aug. 19), the “individual in question has just turned himself in to our detectives.”
Earlier in the week the Sheriff’s Office asked the public for help identifying the man, posting a picture of him on Facebook in connection with an alleged sexual assault that took place near the end of Korn’s Aug. 16 gig. Fox 8 reported that the victim told police a heavily intoxicated man grabbed her breasts at the show and though she was unable to identify the suspect, she provided a picture of him to police.
The suspect was reportedly identified as 44 year-old Ryan Bollas, who later admitted to the incident and turned himself into the Sheriff’s office; he was reportedly charged with sexual imposition, posted $5,000 bond and is due back in court next month. A spokesperson for the Sagamore Hills Police Department confirmed to Billboard that the man initially turned himself in to their department (which does not have jurisdiction over Blossom) before doing the same at the Summit County Sheriff’s Department.
A press release from the Sheriff’s Dept. shared with Billboard noted that the the unidentified 19 year-old female reported the sexual assault during the concert, with an incident report taken by a member of the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, which provides security for the venue. “The victim was unable to identify the suspect. However, she did have a photograph of him from the concert,” according to the report. “The Summit County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into the matter. The image was posted on social media in order to obtain the identity of the suspect. The Sheriff’s Office was able to identify the suspect as Ryan H. Bollas.”
