Nu metal icons Korn will do eight spring dates in support of new album The Serenity of Suffering. Dates include stops at the Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland, and Minglewood Hall in Memphis, Tennessee. Instrumental progressive band Animals As Leaders and alt-metal act Ded will provide support.
Korn previously announced that it was uniting with Stone Sour for a handful of U.S. dates this summer and that it will tour Europe and South America before returning stateside in May. Korn will also participate in such late-summer festivals as the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the United Kingdom and Chicago Open Air.
Meanwhile, hard-rock quartet Alter Bridge is returning to the road behind its latest project, The Last Hero. The seven new dates — which count Revolution in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, N.J., among them — are the new leg of the band’s The Last Hero Tour. The shows are mixed in with multiple festivals that Alter Bridge previously confirmed appearances for, including Carolina Rebellion in Concord, N.C., and Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio. Swedish band In Flames and classic metal act Metal Church will join Alter Bridge on the tour.
