Chicago-based pop-punkers Knuckle Puck are basking in that debut album glow. Their first LP, Copacetic, dropped July 31 on Rise Records, and with that out of the way, it’s on to more of the good stuff — touring the country with their friends and working on creative projects to hype the journey.
At Billboard, we’re excited to present one of those goodies — the official music video for the album track “True Contrite,” premiering today (Aug. 10) along with a fresh set of tour dates. Check it out below:
“The making of the ‘True Contrite’ music video was one of the most painstaking, rewarding experiences ever,” guitarist Kevin Maida tells Billboard. “We basically had to shoot two music videos, one with the walls blank, then manually tape all the Polaroids to the wall, and then shoot everything again with all the Polaroids on the wall. It took a long time, but the video came out perfect.”

Maida also points out that the video stars the brother of guitarist Nick Casasanto.
Now for that tour news. After playing Riot Fest in Chicago on Sept. 13, Knuckle Puck is set to tour the U.K. (with a few other European dates thrown in) and after that, they’ll tour North America with openers Seaway, Head North and Sorority Noise from Oct. 14 through Nov. 21.

“When putting together a lineup for the headline, it was basically a no-brainer to have Seaway on it,” Maida says. “Our first tour ever was with Seaway, so it only seemed right to put some of our greatest friends on our first headline tour. Head North and Sorority Noise are some of our favorite current bands and those bands both consist of truly genuine people. It’s going to be a great fall.”
