John Mayer is known for having a good sense of humor so it’s fitting he would play the prankster in a new hidden-camera promo for his upcoming Bud Light Dive Bar Tour concert.
In the new video, premiering exclusively with Billboard, Mayer tests unsuspecting fans to see how far they would go to save their friend’s seat at the bar. The contestants are a guy and a girl and while the guy gives up the seat for a blond “Southern Belle,” the girl persists even when Mayer himself asks to have a seat.
The winner got two tickets to see Mayer’s intimate (and secret) performance in Los Angeles on Wednesday because she is a “friend that you can count on.”
