Joe Perry is back on tour with the Hollywood Vampires. Although Steven Tyler was “really concerned” about his Aerosmith bandmate after Perry collapsed at a Hollywood Vampires show in Brooklyn and was hospitalized on July 10, it appears the guitarist is ready to rock again.
The Hollywood Vampires Twitter account announced Perry’s return to the stage after he missed several concerts. Perry rejoined the group for its July 22 tour date in Rohnert Park, Calif.

“I know my brother,” Tyler had told Billboard. “He’s just about the only other guy that’s as passionate about his art as I am. He’s always asking me to do three, four [Aerosmith] shows in a row, and I can’t. I’ll blow my voice out. I know how to maintain my career, my health, and Joe’s passionate. I don’t think he knows how to. I think he’s out there and someone’s overbooking him. They’re doing like eight or nine shows in a row, or five in a row. I think they’re all a little burnt. I think they may need to look at that. Not young anymore, y’know?”
Perry is expected to keep playing with the Hollywood Vampires on the band’s current tour. He’ll then get a couple months off before hitting the road again with Aerosmith in South America and Mexico.
