Javier Bardem stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night (Feb. 25) to talk about his latest projects, his family and to show off his spot-on impression of the legendary rock star, Mick Jagger.
Host Kimmel asked Bardem about Sunday night’s Oscars, as he was seen jamming out to Adam Lambert and Queen’s opening number. “I mean Brian May, in front of your eyes, playing ‘We Will Rock You,’ what’s wrong with that? You have to stand up and show some respect to that,” Bardem smiled.
He added that he loved rock n’ roll and recalled the time he won his first Oscar just 11 years ago. He recalled bringing with him “17 Spaniards,” but everything else was a blur until the after party. “I ended up on the top of table doing the impersonation of Mick Jagger, singing ‘Sympathy for the Devil,’ go!” he said pointing to the house band who immediately started playing the tune as Bardem danced around, mimicking the iconic Rolling Stones singer’s iconic stage moves.
The actor also spoke about his work with Greenpeace and his 2018 film, Everybody Knows, that he made with his wife, Penelope Cruz.
