Pop punk gurus Blink-182 took to the stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday night (May 23) to perform their California fan-favorite “Kings of the Weekend” and their iconic 2004 single “I Miss You.” Sporting the California album artwork on a massive banner behind them, bassist/singer Mark Hoppus, guitarist Matt Skiba and drummer Travis Barker wailed away at the tunes amid a Las Vegas-worthy daytime light show.
Fittingly, the banner behind the trio was edited to include the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign to promote Blink’s recently announced residency at the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino Resort, which kicks off May 26 and runs through November 17. “When the Palms asked us to do a residency here in Vegas, we said ‘Absolutely!’” Hoppus said in a statement. “Now, we just have to cast our showgirls, create our set list – a true throwback of Vegas classics with Sinatra, Liberace. Maybe we can even marry someone on stage… The possibilities in Vegas are endless.”
