Rocker Jack White announced the release date and revealed the artwork for his new album Friday morning (Jan. 12). Titled Boarding House Reach, the album will be released via his label Third Man Records on Mar. 23 and is the follow-up to his successful Lazaretto album from 2014.
According to a press release, the record finds White “expanding his musical palate with perhaps his most ambitious work thus far, a collection of songs that are simultaneously timeless and modern.” The album is also said to explore “a remarkable range of sonic terrain – crunching rock ‘n’ roll, electro and hard funk, proto punk, hip hop, gospel blues, and even country – all remapped and born anew to fit White’s matchless vision and sense of restless experimentation”.
White recently released two songs from the soon-to-be-released album, “Connected By Love” and “Respect Commander,” and he is set to headline numerous festivals this year, including Shaky Knees in Atlanta (May 4th-6th), Boston Calling 2018 (May 25th-27th) and Governor’s Ball in New York (June 1st-3rd).
