On Monday (July 31), Third Man Records — the ever-expanding label founded by rocker Jack White — announced on Twitter that White is busy working on what will be his third studio album. The label posted two black-and-white photos of White and his musicians in front of unidentifiable backgrounds, offering zero hints as to what studios he has been working in.
White rarely offers up information on himself, though he did suggest to The New Yorker back in March that he was preparing to record new music. Since his sophomore effort, 2014’s Lazaretto, White has kept busy opening a pressing plant in Detroit, working on the PBS documentary American Epic and much more.
