Yesterday (Sept. 8) Third Man Records rolled out a well-shot, carefully edited five-minute video — not to promote a new Jack White project, nor a musical project of any kind. This video’s all about a new t-shirt.
On Friday, the Third Man webstore and Nashville brick-and-mortar rolls out a new t-shirt, and White himself directed this video ode. It features Whirlwind Heat frontman David James Swanson (pictured above) telling his story of lifelong obsession for crafting the perfect pocket tee. It’s worth a few laughs and definitely some awkward glances.

It features an LP with tracks from Nina Simone, Shel Silverstein, Jerry Garcia, Kermit the Frog, and more. There’s also a portable mini-record player with built-in speakers.
