Earlier this year, Interpol announced an extensive European tour centered around the 15th anniversary of their debut album, Turn On The Bright Lights. That seemed pretty unfair to fans of the band back in the States, but now the New York-based group have (sort of?) rectified the situation by announcing two anniversary shows stateside where they’ll be the entirety of Turn On The Bright Lights.
They’ll take place on Sept. 23 at Forest Hills Stadium in New York and on Sept. 30 at Historic State Park in Los Angeles, and they will be the only North American anniversary performances. So if you happen to be in one of those cities, good news! Otherwise, seems like you’re out of luck!
Fan club pre-sales will go live on 5/2 for both shows, and public on-sale is 5/5. A press release says that Interpol are currently working on their sixth album, which is due out in 2018.
