After some teasing, Harry Style‘s new song “Sweet Creature” has finally arrived. The song exclusively premiered, as promised, right at noon on Tuesday (May 2) on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio, hosted by Zane Lowe.
“Sweet creature, sweet creature / Wherever I go, you’ll bring me home / Sweet creature, sweet creature / When I run out of road, you’ll bring me home,” Styles croons on the song’s chorus. The track is the most acoustic of the three Styles has unveiled so far, following the anthemic single “Sign Of The Times” and soft rock tune “Ever Since New York,” both of which he performed on Saturday Night Live on April 15. Like the previous two songs, though, “Sweet Creature” showcases Styles’ range and ability to hit some pretty spectacular power notes.
“Sweet Creature” becomes the third song expected to appear on the singer’s eponymous debut album which will be released May 12. This is the second solo song recorded by Styles — with his first, “Sign Of The Times,” reaching a peak of No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The former One Direction member is not alone — ex-bandmate Niall Horan announced a release date for his next single “Slow Hands” this Thursday, May 4. Horan’s debut single “This Town” peaked at No. 20 on the Hot 100 earlier this year in January. Meanwhile, Zayn Malik is working on his sophomore LP.
