Guns N’ Roses did their best to power through a show at Du Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on Sunday night (Nov. 25), but singer Axl Rose was just too sick to go on. “They’ve got me on IVs and a bunch of injections, ’cause I got sick today, I’ve been throwing up for about the last five hours,” Rose told the audience at the show, according to fan video. “So, instead of canceling I’m gonna do the best show we can do for you.”
According to reports, the show did go on, for about 20 songs of a typically 28-song set, before the reunited rock icons had ot cut the gig short due to Rose’s illness; a spokesperson for the group could not be reached for comment at press time. Guitarist Slash confirmed that Rose was “severely ill,” thanking fans for being “hugely supportive.”
Abu Dhabi, you guys were fucking great tonight! Axl was severely ill. But you all were hugely supportive. Thanks for that. We’ll see again next time! Cheers! iiii]; ) ‘

While bassist Duff McKagan called it a “damn miracle” that Rose could pull off as much of the show as he could, saying the singer was “beyond ill.”
Thank you Abu Dhabi! @axlrose pulled a damn miracle…the man was beyond ill, and pulled off something I’ve never seen in my 40 yrs of playing. You all pulled him thru. Til next time!
