To celebrate the release of their debut album Anthem of the Peaceful Army, which is out today (Oct. 19), Billboard sat down with the members of Greta Van Fleet to see how well they know one another.
The Michigan-based foursome are posed with questions such as which member has the best taste in music (each member picks himself) and who is most likely to mess up while performing (resulting in a mixed response).
When asked which Greta Van Fleet member is most likely to sleep through an earthquake, vocalist Josh Kiszka reveals that his brother and bandmate Sam once failed to notice that a tornado was hitting their house.
“There was this time, and I’m not kidding, there was a tornado that was hitting the house and everybody kind of went to the basement,” Josh explains. “And Sam, he’s like walking out of the bathroom after taking a shower whistling and has his towel around him and was like, ‘Where’s everybody at?’ and we’re in the basement going, ‘Oh, we forgot Sam!’”
The band are also asked which of them is the most stubborn, with Sam noting that they each take turns. Jake Kiszka, while holding up a picture of his brother Josh, says with a laugh, “It’s blatantly obvious to me. I could see everybody else is having issues with this one.”
Drummer Danny Wagner then adds, “Let’s just say we’d have an easier answer if it was least stubborn,” to which the band all vote for him as the winner of that category.
