Good Charlotte gave Lil Peep a proper tribute during his memorial service on Dec. 2 in Long Beach, NY.
The Joel Madden-led band performed a rock cover of the rapper’s track, “Awful Things,” in a video separate from the live-streamed service. Nick Suchak edited and directed the visuals.
During a night filled with heartfelt speeches, fans, friends, and family members celebrated the life of the 21-year-old rapper, who tragically passed on Nov. 16. Lil Peep’s grandmother Jenny Kastner noted, “He wasn’t the modern-day Kurt Cobain, by the way. He is the first and only Lil Peep, and arguably left behind a legacy that will have a far greater impact. His kindness will live on through lots of people.”
