Buffalo veteran alt-rockers Goo Goo Dolls just announced a North American run of dates celebrating the 20th anniversary of their “career album,” Dizzy Up the Girl. The band will perform the album in its entirety every night, followed by a second set of further hits, deep cuts and, according to a press release, “surprises.”
Back in 1998, Dizzy was a commercial behemoth upon its release. The record was certified 4x platinum by the RIAA, largely due to its signature smash “Iris,” which rocketed to the top 10 the Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Alternative Songs chart. And coming off the heels of similar tour announcements from Counting Crows and Live and a triple-threat package from 3 Doors Down, Collective Soul and Soul Asylum, ‘90s kids are bound to have a banner year in 2018
