Five Finger Death Punch were forced to postpone a gig at the Amsoil Arena in Duluth, Minnesota, just hours before showtime on Thursday night (Dec. 12) due to an unspecified “medical emergency” affecting guitarist Jason Hook. At press time a spokesperson for the band could not be reached for comment on the medical issue that caused the show’s postponement; a re-scheduled date for the show has not yet been announced.
The next scheduled date on the band’s current tour is slated for Saturday night (Dec. 14) at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. At press time that show appeared to still be on. There is only one more date on the current North American tour — a Dec. 15 show in Des Moines, Iowa — before FFDP take the rest of the year off and then hit the road again on Jan. 14 with a show in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The band’s eighth album, F8, is due out on Feb. 28 and they recently announced dates for a spring North American arena tour with Ice Nine Kills, Papa Roach and I Prevail that is slated to kick off on Apr. 8 in Sunrise, Florida and run through a May 20 gig in St. Paul, Minnesota.
