First Aid Kit are sending love from Stockholm, but with a bit of sadness, too: the band has canceled their summer 2019 tour dates due to “unforeseen medical circumstances.”
The Swedish folk-pop sister act of Klara and Joanna Söderberg? penned a handwritten announcement they posted to social media on Saturday (May 18) to explain why they wouldn’t be hitting the road this summer as planned.
First Aid Kit were booked to perform at a number of music festivals across the globe, including Louisville’s Forecastle and Milwaukee’s Summerfest in the U.S., and are “devastated” by the health-related development.
“We were super excited to play, but because of unforeseen medical circumstances we simply cannot do the shows,” they write. “All will be okay and we look forward to seeing you soon again.”
