Like other entertainers who’ve tried their hands at cartoons and picture books, Amy Lee has gone the children’s route, crafting her first album aimed at the crawling set. The 12-song collection is called Dream Too Much and it’s due Sept. 30 exclusively via Amazon Music. Amy Lee recently shared the title track with Rolling Stone, along with a little background on the cute n’ cuddly endeavor.
“Dream Too Much” is an Amy Lee original, though the album also contains familiar tunes, like covers of the Beatles‘ “Hello Goodbye” and “Rubber Duckie,” as made famous by noted songsmiths Bert and Ernie.
And the project isn’t just Amy. It was very much a family effort, with her dad playing ukulele, dobro and banjo, her sisters Carrie and Lori singing backup and her uncle Tom adding guitar, bass and harmonica.
How do you think they’ll measure up to the Sesame Street Fever disco version of “Rubber Duckie”? See below.
