Fresh from a tour supporting Greta Van Fleet, rock band Dorothy has debuted a new video for “Who Do You Love,” premiering exclusively on Billboard today (Oct 17).
The visual shows behind-the-scenes footage of road life, with the main scenes taking place on stage in front of rowdy crowds. Along with trippy kaleidoscope effects and vibrant colors, the video gives a closer look into the rock life. Frontwoman Dorothy Martin’s biting lyrics — “Hey, I’m your reason for lying/Hey, I’m your reason for dying/Hey, I’m your reason to live/Who do you love when your love’s run dry” — pair nicely with the video’s badass vibe.
“Linda [Perry] and I were in the studio and she started playing this riff and I jumped in and within 10 minutes we had a complete song,” Martin tells Billboard of “Who Do You Love,” explaining that the song was also inspired by the news that Quentin Tarantino is developing a Charles Manson-inspired movie. “Thank you to all the fans who made this personal video possible, just by showing up and rocking out,” she adds. “You make what we do so very special.”
“Who Do You Love” appears on Dorothy’s 28 Days in the Valley album, which was released in March.
