Dave Grohl doesn’t do all his own stunts. The Foo Fighters frontman isn’t immune to on-stage injuries, having previously over-rocked to the point where he shattered his leg during a 2015 performance in Sweden and nearly face-planting mid-show just last month. Now, Grohl has decided to use his repeated clumsiness to hilariously troll fans.
Foo Fighters made their return to Sweden on Tuesday (June 5) and kicked off their show at the Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg with a reenactment of sorts: as the band took the stage, a faux-Grohl emerged in the rock star’s place, unbeknownst to the crowd. The imposter didn’t have much time to shred before he tumbled right off the stage, landing on padding concealed under the stage . Much to fans’ relief, the real Grohl then assumed his rightful place with all bones intact, revealing his lookalike was only a stuntman.
Let’s hope no emergency room detours are needed as Foo Fighters finish out their Concrete and Gold Tour in support of their eponymous ninth studio album. See the stuntman take a tumble below.
