Dave Grohl is becoming the weird rock equivalent to Taylor Swift these days, welcoming some more random guests onstage with the Foo Fighters to contrast the pop star’s parade of guests on her 1989 Tour.
While the Foo’s recent guests have included everyone from Haim to Grohl’s orthopedic surgeon, this one takes the cake: musician and former classmate Chet Lott, who defeated Grohl in their ninth grade battle of the bands competition, Action News 5 reports. And at Foo Fighters’ show in Memphis on Wednesday night, Grohl and his former nemesis were reunited to cover David Bowie and Queen‘s “Under Pressure.”
“I may have won the battle, but you won the war,” Lott told him after the performance.
