Dave Grohl and The Muppets‘ Animal will be facing off in a drumming competition in an upcoming episode of the ABC sitcom.

According to reports by Entertainment Weekly and Variety, which official Muppets Twitter accounts retweeted, the Foo Fighters frontman will play himself in an episode of the ABC sitcom also starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Gordon-Levitt will find himself involved in a Muppet poker night with Scooter, Pepe and others. Meanwhile, the circumstances of Grohl’s appearance are not clear, but here’s hoping he’s gunning for Animal’s spot as drummer for the show’s house band, Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem.

Grohl appeared in the 2011 The Muppets feature film as a knock-off of Animal named Animool in Fozzie Bear’s depressingly bootleg band the Moopets. Watch that performance below.
