The world came together on Sunday (June 4) for Ariana Grande‘s One Love Manchester benefit concert. But even all the good vibes and kind words for the victims of the deadly blast, as well as the amazing performances from the likes of Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Coldplay, The Black Eyed Peas, Take That, Robbie Williams, Niall Horan, Miley Cyrus and more, was not enough to cure the rift between the Mancunian sibling legends of Oasis.

While Liam Gallagher thrilled the crowd with a surprise appearance that included a collaboration with Coldplay on his band’s classic “Live Forever,” he took a hard dig at estranged older brother and Oasis musical mastermind Noel for not making the gig, apologizing to their hometown and then calling Noel a not very nice name.

Coldplay had a different take on working with one member of Oasis in a series of tweets, in which they thanked Noel for giving his “blessing and encouragement” to play the group’s “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” noting that “everyone” knew in advance that he wouldn’t be there.

As NME noted, the Liam/Coldplay collabo was unexpected, since back in 2006 the notoriously quarrelsome singer told the magazine that he thought Martin “looks like a geography teacher. What’s all that with writing messages about Free Trade? If he wants to write things down I’ll give him a pen and a pad of paper. Bunch of students.”
Even as recently as last year Liam was still trolling, saying, “I’m sure he does put on a good gig, Chris Martin, the amount of money he gets paid. He looks like he’s in [British children’s series] The Tweenies though. The whole band look beyond s–t. Have they not seen any photos of The Rolling Stones? Probably not.”
It’s all love now, though, as Liam spoke to Dutch radio station 3FM Extra before a festival appearance in the Netherlands and said, “They’ve never sounded so good have they, Coldplay? I was like, ‘F–king hell, you sound good man. I take back everything I’ve ever said about you. You sound F–king really good.’”
