Coldplay is heading out on what is likely to be its farewell tour, so it only makes sense that Chris Martin and company will play the largest stages around the world.
With the Super Bowl done, Coldplay is on tap for yet another massive concert experience — headlining England’s Glastonbury Festival.
In 2016, Coldplay will headline the long-running fest’s biggest stage — the Pyramid Stage — on its final night, June 26. Glastonbury 2016 is set for its usual spot at Worthy Farm in the village of Pilton in Somerset, England. It will take place between June 22 and 26.

As for headlining Glasto, this is far from Coldplay’s first rodeo. They had top billing three previous times, in 2002, 2005 and 2011.
Coldplay and Glastonbury traded the following tweets earlier today, while the fest made the official announcement on its website.

So far, no other headliners have been announced.
This summer, Coldplay will play seven U.S. stadiums, beginning July 16 in East Rutherford, N.J.’s MetLife Stadium, just outside New York. They have dates in Europe, Central and South America in queue from the end of March through early July.
The rumored farewell tour is in support of their new album A Head Full of Dreams, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in Dec. 2015.
