Brian Wilson is prepping a new solo album, and Billboard has an exclusive first look at the legendary Beach Boys singer performing one of its tracks with a very special guest: Capital Cities‘ Sebu, who stopped by Wilson’s recent show at the Venetian in Las Vegas to help out on the infectious new song “Runaway Dancer.”
The track comes from Wilson’s 11th solo album, No Pier Pressure, due April 7 on Capitol Records. Watch the video below, filmed for an upcoming episode of PBS’ Soundstage:
Looking back on his career of over 50 years, Wilson feels renewed and energized to be writing and using his vocals to craft the sort of harmonies that have influenced so much popular music.

“I am alive in 2015, and that feels great,” Wilson tells Billboard in a forthcoming interview with David Ritz. “I am proud that I have survived… I am proud to still be writing and singing songs that, to my ears, are fresh, original and vital. All course they’re linked to the past. All music is. But I believe that my music transcends the past and, most critically, heals the heart, right here and now.”
In addition to the new album, Wilson’s legacy will be celebrated in a new biopic, Love & Mercy, starring John Cusack, Paul Dano, Elizabeth Banks and Paul Giamatti. The film hits theaters June 5.
No Pier Pressure is available for preorder on Amazon and iTunes.
