Happy Friday — the first song from the new Bon Jovi album is here.
The new anthem is called “This House Is Not For Sale” and it just so happens to be the title track from the new album from Jon Bon Jovi and company. Their first major release since 2013’s What About Now is due Oct. 21 via Island/Universal Music Group.
On “This House,” Jon Bon holds tight onto memories and pours them into a chorus that echoes the title, along with chants of “I’m coming home.” In the new video, watch him rock out alongside bandmates David Bryan, Tico Torres, Hugh McDonald and Phil X.
This House Is Not For Sale is Bon Jovi’s 14th studio album and their first major release the departure of founding guitarist/songwriter/producer Richie Sambora.
It also marks Bon Jovi’s return to the Universal Music Group, following a brief departure. In Aug. 2015, Bon Jovi released a “fan record” called Burning Bridges, featuring numerous previously-unfinished songs to accompany an international tour and end a 32-year relationship with Mercury Records. But this May, Bon Jovi returned to Universal in announcing the new album’s completion.
This House Is Not For Sale was produced by John Shanks, who began working with the band on 2005’s Have a Nice Day.
