Eight months into 2020, blink-182 is singing what we’re all thinking: ‘F— quarantine.”
The group’s latest single, “Quarantine,” is truly an angsty anthem of the times we’re living in amid the coronavirus pandemic. The new rock song’s chorus pays tribute to everyday tasks we had taken for granted or even found boring before we were locked in our homes to practice social distancing. “Quarantine, f— this disease / I’d rather be on Star Tours or stuck at the DMV / Quarantine, no, not for me / I thought that things were fucked up in 2019 / F— quarantine,” Mark Hoppus proclaims in the chorus.
“Quarantine” is blink-182’s first new music since their 2019 album, Nine, though the group was featured on Oliver Tree’s recent “Let Me Down.”
