Bjork’s 2011 album Biophilia featured 10 songs, each released as an app for mobile devices. Her fantastic 2015 follow-up Vulnicura was released two months ahead of schedule with no promotional singles, but the iconic artist is doing plenty to maintain the interactive element her work is known for.
Six months after releasing an interactive, panoramic video for “Stonemilker,” Bjork has given Vulnicura’s opening track the app treatment. The virtual reality app is available for iOS, giving viewers a glimpse of the Andrew Thomas Huang-directed film through a virtual reality headset.
The new app follows the “Stonemilker” video, which you can watch (and panorama your way through) below:
The iOS app — assembled by Third Space Agency, Rewind, and 2 Big Ears — is available here. Vrse.works handled production, with special effects done by Digital Domain.
