An all-star group including Beck, Coldplay‘s Chris Martin, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Jakob Dylan and E Street Band keyboardist Roy Bittan performed a medley of songs by the Beach Boys, Pink Floyd, Prince, Ariana Grande and Bruce Springsteen at the Boys and Girls Club benefit in Malibu, California, on Saturday.
The group, which Smith jokingly dubbed his “new boy band,” was also joined by Goldfrapp’s Davide Rossi and Martin’s son, Moses, who sang lead on a cover of Twenty One Pilots’ “House of Gold” and daughter Apple, who took on Grande’s “Just a Little Bit of Your Heart.” Martin handled vocals on Springsteen’s “My Hometown,” Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb,” the Beach Boy’s “Surfin’ USA” (with Beck and Dylan on backing vocals).
