Bastille stopped by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge to perform a cover of “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” with the video uploaded today (Nov. 27).
The British rock band’s take on American rock band REO Speedwagon‘s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 power anthem was not accompanied by the London Contemporary Orchestra, but still created a stirring mini concert.
A chorus of backup singers did the trick for the whimsical tune, as Dan Smith’s reverberating vocals soared above. The crescendo of instruments, from the keyboard to the guitar all the way to the pitter-patter on the cymbals, made the chorus the most moving part of the scene.
