After a psychedelic performance of the single on The Tonight Show last Friday (May 11,) Arctic Monkeys followed up with the eerie visual accompaniment to their track “Four Out Of Five” on Sunday (May 13).
The video, off of Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, follows a bearded and long-haired singer Alex Turner as he wanders around an creepy mansion and experiences quirky parties and unusual photo shoots.
After exploring the grounds, Turner reunites with his band in the main living room, but he is now beardless as he performs the song’s final chorus. Meanwhile, a bearded Turner studies his former self from a teleprompter, elaborating on the track’s discussion of the pressures of fame and how Turner feels he is always being closely watched.
