Just in time for Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration, Arcade Fire have shared a new song featuring Mavis Staples called “I Give You Power.”
The track is driven by a heavy beat as it passionately tackles the transference of power — coming and going. All proceeds from the song will go to the American Civil Liberties Union to presumably help the non-profit keep those with said power in check.
“It’s never been more important that we stick together & take care of each other,” the band and Staples said in a tweet.

Arcade Fire also shared a new piece of cryptic imagery that’s an infinity sign with a copyright symbol inside. In a video sharing “I Give You Power,” the imagery is used again with the date Jan. 20, 2017, next to it — noting Trump’s inauguration date, or possibly more.
The band is set to perform at a number of festivals this year, including Primavera and Isle of Wight.
