Alice Merton has proved herself as one of alternative rock’s leading solo ladies as of late, and she exuded her powerful persona as the music guest of Wednesday’s (May 9) episode of The Late Late Show With James Corden. The singer/songwriter gave an energetic performance of her hit debut single “No Roots.”
Merton’s uniquely rich vocals stood out against the backup band as she owned the stage effortlessly and looked vintage-chic in a matching floral suit. Each time the infectious, bass-thumping chorus came in, her dynamic delivery elicited a roaring applause from the studio audience.
The German-Canadian-English singer first released her debut EP, No Roots, in February 2017. It finally made its way to being released in the U.S. last April.
