Earlier this year, Young Thug‘s “Wyclef Jean” video had the Internet in a frenzy. Despite never showing up for his own video shoot, Thugger managed to reel in an impressive 28 million views on YouTube, and on Sunday (Aug. 27), notched himself his first VMA award.
The only odd thing about Thugger’s feat was that no one informed him about his latest accomplishment. Crowned by MTV for best editing, Thug appeared oblivious by the idea of clinching the coveted award and voiced his confusion Monday night (Aug. 28) on Twitter.
“So no one was going to tell me that I won an award??,” he wrote on Twitter.
From not showing up to his Ryan Staake-produced video to finding out the day after the VMAs he won an award for that actual song, is what makes Thugger truly unique. Refresh your mind with his award-winning video below.
