The visual features footage of Young Thug performing in concert and later partaking in a dice game backstage with Migos‘ Quavo and Offset. Meek Mill, Trey Songz, and Desiigner also make special cameos throughout the video.
“N—as they eatin’ in broad day/In that h-e mouth like a Colgate/Keepin’ that cold case, God, please give me that cold case/Man, I don’t want new friends, forgive me for all of my sins/I don’t wanna think about losin’, all I wanna do is win win,” raps Thugger.
“Guwop” comes on the heels of “Wyclef Jean.” The video instantly went viral after co-director Ryan Staake was forced to improvise the day of the video shoot due to Thug’s absence.
“I love it. I honestly think it’s multiple times better than it would have been if it had been done the way it was planned,” Staake said. “I can only thank Young Thug for not showing up. It allowed something bizarre and unique to happen that people are enjoying and responding well to.”
