UPDATE: After obtaining a police report from the Brookhaven Police Department, Young Thug and Cedric Jones have been charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of Xanax, possession of codeine, possession of ecstasy and possession of a firearm during VGCSA (2 counts)
On Saturday (Sept. 23), Young Thug was arrested in Brookhaven, GA on drug-related charges, a representative from the Brookhaven Police Department tells Billboard.
TMZ reported Tuesday (Sept. 26) that the Jeffery star was slapped with a felony drug charge and a misdemeanor for having tinted windows.
Thus far in 2017, Thugger’s success has been hampered by legal woes. Earlier this year, he evaded a bevy of charges stemming from 2015 when his home in Sandy Springs, GA. was raided by cops. There, police reportedly discovered weapons and drugs at his residence and charged him with a felony cocaine possession, felony marijuana possession and three counts of felony gun possession.
In April, he skated free on all charges after his lawyers proved that police searched his home without a proper search warrant. That same month, he dodged a possible battery case after rumors surfaced about him allegedly slapping a woman outside an Atlanta club. Due to lack of evidence, Thugger was exempt from any possible charges.
