
The rapper Young Dolph was shot near Hollywood Boulevard on North Highland Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in a portion on the busy tourist spot to be closed, Los Angeles police confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
The call for the shooting came in around 1:25 p.m.
Adolph Thornton, Jr. better known by his stage name Young Dolph entered a unidentified business bleeding, police said.
The victim’s condition us unknown. It is not clear how many times the rapper was shot.
The suspect was last seen in a gold Cadillac Escalade near the Hollywood Bowl.
The Hollywood and Highland complex, a tourist attraction with several big-name shops, is also home to a number of high-profile events including the Oscars.
Police are still on scene investigating. It is unclear when the area will reopen. Police warn of major traffic issues in the vicinity.
Last February, Dolph’s SUV was shot over 100 times while he was in Charlotte, NC for a show. The “Gelato” MC walked away unscathed.
