On the heels of releasing their dynamic “Put a Date on It” collaboration, Yo Gotti and Lil Baby returned Monday (Jan. 28) with a gritty video for the June James-produced single.
Gotti holds his own version of the hood’s Last Supper, where he shares an extravagant meal alongside members of the CMG family, including an appearance from Blac Youngsta, signifying a truce of sorts, putting an end to their reported feud.
The 37-year-old MC takes a seat at the head of the table, draped in lavish threads, to kick off the visual, as a butler goes around serving the guests around the table, which oddly sits in the middle of a barren street. “I had to trap through the night, yeah/ I put that pack on a flight, yeah/ I shot all them pussies the same night/ Laid in the bushes, a rainy night,” Yo Gotti raps about the dues he’s paid to reach this point.
Baby looks as comfortable as ever rapping in front of the camera. The clip’s release arrives after Future passed the Drip Harder rappers the torch earlier in the month, dubbing the pair as the new “GOATs of trap music.” With a co-sign like that in his pocket, Lil Baby confidently steps onto the table to deliver a standout guest verse boasting about his recent success.
“Got the trap goin’ crazy like the first and the third/ Got a lot of cash money, I could still get birds/ Get away with my chain, he gon’ still get murked/ Had an FN on me when I did this verse,” Baby rhymes.
