If you thought YG was going to stop baiting President Donald Trump after his politically charged 2016 protest track with Nipsey Hussle “FDT,” think again. On Thursday (Oct. 8), the Compton rapper was at it once more with the Trump-mocking video for his new single, “Jealous.”
The clip for the opening track on the Def Jam MC’s My Life 4Hunnid album pulls no punches in parodying the president’s most outrageous qualities, courtesy of a buffoonish impersonator whose face is caked with the commander in chief’s signature orange-hued bronzer to accent ill-fitting suits with extra-long ties and tanning bed raccoon eyes.
The visual — which dropped just days after Trump returned to the White House after a weekend stay at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for emergency coronavirus treatment — opens with faux Trump at a piano playing the song’s sedate intro. The scene then cuts to the flaxen-haired leader of the free world throwing hand signs and posturing in front of Air Force One.
The action really heats up, though, when doppelgänger Donald takes a seat behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, surrounded by strippers twerking on piles of cash while shaking it in his face, later taking their show to Air Force One for a mile high clap-a-thon. “They jealous, they envious of me (Jealous)/ I’m rich as f–k, I’m poppin’, got it poppin’ off a beat (Poppin’)/ I’m f–kin’ on they b—hes they payin’ out here for free (Free)/ I’m stylin’ with no stylist, stay clean, I got OCD (Stylin’),” YG raps over the trap beat as the knock-off DJT attempts to throw gang signs, raps to himself in the mirror, hugs flags and smacks booty, with the sordid affair ending with a urgent message to “Go Vote.”
