YBN Cordae has garnered a ton of hype rolling into his highly anticipated debut project The Lost Boy. The burgeoning Maryland spitter kicked off the effort’s rollout with the release of “Have Mercy” last month. Cordae recently decided to implement the unorthodox strategy of having two visual depictions accompany his lead single, both of which were released on Tuesday (April 16).
Each of the clips represent a different path in life, so choose wisely. The first released earlier in the day courtesy of Cole Bennett and Lyrical Lemonade. The more uplifting flick finds Cordae in a prison jumpsuit, as vibrant colors, trippy effects and large insects leave the viewer in a puzzled state of mind.
The second video features direction from Aplus and could easily take on the plot of an upcoming horror film. Cordae stumbles upon a few crimes while exploring the terrifying Harvard House Motel, as the surrounding palm trees even catch fire. A blank stare from the YBN honcho pierces our soul with his eyes being turned into demonic fireballs.
YBN Cordae will also be headlining his first North American tour this summer. The trek will kick off on May 10 at Rolling Loud in Miami and stop at a number of festivals across the country, before heading overseas in July.
